Billie Eilish has been name PETA’s Person of the Year.
A vegan since the age of 12, she’s known for her animal activism. At the distinguished Met Gala, she wore a custom, silk-free, gown from Oscar de la Renta, but only if the brand agreed to ban fur going forward.
She also served as the co-chair of the event, which exclusively served vegan meals for the first time.
Among her other accomplishments, she designed an Air Jordan collection for Nike, creating sneakers with 100% vegan leather.
Her first perfume line was also cruelty-free, containing no animal-derived ingredients.
At the age of 19 years old, she becomes the youngest-ever winner of the award.
