Wet Nose Wednesday: Bow

Happy Thanksgiving! The volunteers of Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center would like to say thank you to everyone who is part of finding loving homes for homeless pets in Sangamon County. Your love and support for the animals is amazing and we are so grateful.

Our Wet Nose Wednesday star for this week is a beautiful 7 year old Husky/German Shepherd mix. Bow has been at SCAC/AC for over three months. Unfortunately he came in as an owner surrender and he’s been adopted and returned twice because he just hasn’t found the perfect fit. It’s obvious Bow has had some training. He knows commands like sit and shake and will also sit and wait until he is called to come. Like all huskies, Bow would like to roam. We know he can jump a four foot fence so a taller fence and monitoring while outside is a must. We advise a meet and greet if you have other dogs in the home to be sure all of the dogs will get along. Bow is easy to walk on a leash and enjoys spending time hanging out with his human watching the world go by.
Husky lovers…we know you’re out there. Please come meet Bow and give this nice dog a chance for a good life. SCAC/AC will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday but we’ll be there Saturday 10:30-12:45, ready to introduce you to Bow.
Thanks to The Villas Senior Care Community in Sherman for sponsoring Wet Nose Wednesday!
