Governor JB Pritzker and First Lady MK Pritzker purchased the grand champion steer for the sixth year in a row at Wednesday’s Governor’s Sale of Champions at the Illinois State Fair.
The Pritzkers purchased the steer for $105,000. Kadie Hummel of Kankakee County exhibited this year’s grand champion steer.
The Land of Lincoln Grand Champion Steer was purchased for a record $70,000 by BRANDT, Case IH and friends of its exhibitor, John Lukach of LaSalle County.
